Abstract

A well-designed organizational structure and operational mechanism are crucial for the development of a design week platform. An overly complex organizational structure may hamper the efficiency of the platform, while a structure that is too simple may weaken its ability to withstand risks, ultimately affecting the effectiveness of the exhibition. Therefore, an excellent organizational structure is akin to the root of a tree for a design week platform, allowing it to operate efficiently and sustainably.

The Venice Biennale is one of the world's three major art exhibitions, with a rich historical legacy. Its dynamic organizational structure has provided a useful reference for the organizers of international art and design events. This article will focus on the historical development of the Venice Biennale and identify key milestones in its history. It will analyze the organizational structure, curation methods, and cultural integration of different historical stages of the Biennale, exploring the reasons for its evolution. The aim is to use the history of the Biennale's development as a reference for the modern development of exhibition platforms, to fully leverage the adaptability and convenience of organizational structures, and to find more sustainable organizational models for design weeks that are suitable for different social environments.
