Abstract

As one of the core cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), Zhuhai enjoys the institutional, policy and resource advantages of synergising with Hong Kong and Macao. It is an important hub of design resources in the GBA. Since the first Zhuhai Design Week was held in 2018, it has drawn on the organisational development model of Beijing Design Week, while integrating its local strengths. It strives to create an international platform that advances design-driven social innovation, fosters design exchange in the GBA, cultivates local design talents and engages the public in design. It also regards promoting exchange and cooperation among the design communities in the GBA as its important mission.

珠海作为粤港澳大湾区的核心城市之一，拥有珠港澳协同发展的制度优势、政策优势和资源优势，是粤港澳大湾区重要的设计资源聚集地。自2018年首届珠海设计周举办以来，珠海设计周借鉴北京国际设计周的组织发展模式，同时结合在地性优势，努力打造推进设计科技驱动社会创新、促进粤港澳大湾区设计交流、培育本土设计力量以及公众参与设计等方面的国际性平台，并将促进粤港澳大湾区设计界的交流与合作视为重要使命。
