Abstract
After World War II, Milan became the backbone of the reconstruction of Italy.
The furniture produced in Milan was sold to all parts of Italy. However, with the end of the
reconstruction, the Italian domestic market tended to be saturated. With the development of The Times,
Salone del Mobile-Milan is no longer limited to the furniture sector, but introduces more parallel
home decoration content. It is also this move that makes the organizers of Salone del Milano realize
that "cross-border" is an important driving force for a design week to maintain vitality. More and
more parallel exhibitions not in the home decoration segment were created during the IFA, which
eventually became part of the IFA and eventually co-evolved into Milan Design Week.
As one of the most important design events in the world, Milan Design Week itself is very
pioneering in terms of content presentation. Therefore, this paper will focus on the setting of each
section and the founding process of the design week. Milan Design Week is a typical design week from
the bottom up. As well as the experience of the International Furniture Fair organized by enterprises,
Milan Design Week has a strong autonomy in content.
The experience of Milan Design Week can be applied to some cities that have a lot of
exhibition
experience and creative industry but are not systematic. We can learn how to integrate enterprise
resources and give full play to enterprise initiative, so that design week is not limited to
exhibition, but under the leadership of enterprises, to make design blossom everywhere in the city.

二战后,米兰成为了重建意大利的主心骨,米兰产出的家具销往意大利各处,但随着重建的结束,意大利国内市场趋于饱和,米兰的家具企业把目光投向了海外,并利用展会作为平台,向全世界展示高品质的米兰家具,这就是米兰国际家具展的雏形。随着时代的发展,米兰国际家具展不在局限于家具这个板块,而是引入了更多平行的家装内容,也是这一举动让米兰国际家具展的主办方认识到“跨界”是一个设计周保持生命力的重要动力,再往后的十几年间,越来越多的不是家装板块的平行展在米兰国际家具展举办期间开创,这些展览最后都成为了米兰国际家具展的一部分,最后共同进化成了米兰设计周。
米兰设计周作为世界上最重要的设计盛会之一,设计周本身内容呈现上就非常具有先锋性,因此本文会着重在各个板块的设置与设计周的创办历程上,米兰设计周是典型的由下至上的设计周,得益于米兰大量的设计工作室、设计企业的历史积累,以及米兰国际家具展由企业自发组织的经验,让米兰设计周在内容上有着极强的自主性。
米兰设计周的经验可以适用于一些拥有大量会展经验和创意产业但却不成体系的城市,学习如何整合企业资源,发挥企业能动性,让设计周不在局限于会展,而是在企业的主导下,让设计在城市中遍地开花。
