Abstract

Kolding is a seaport city located in Denmark, renowned for its unique modern design. It joined UCCN as "City of Design" in 2017. Kolding emphasizes greenness and sustainability in urban planning and actively participates in international design practices. The city's construction strategy is not only re􀋛ected in the sustainability of urban infrastructure, but also in encouraging the development of the creative industry. From design professionals to urban citizens, everyone deeply believes that "design is the DNA of Kolding." Kolding has successfully hosted a series of design seminars, creative exhibitions, and international design competitions, consolidating its position in the global creative field. Through these initiatives, Kolding has set an example in sustainable design, attracting international designers to come for exchanges and collaboration. It also empowered every citizen with the power of design, laying a solid foundation for a "design-thinking community".
