Abstract

Curitiba, located in southern Brazil, was awarded the title of "City of Design" by UCCN in 2014. This city is renowned for its excellent urban planning, providing residents with a high-Quality living environment. As the first city in Brazil to implement the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, Curitiba's experience has become a model for many cities. The development of Curitiba has always centered around the principle of people􀘹first, aiming to enhance the 􀈮uality of life for its residents.

Curitiba regards design as an important engine for urban development, establishing the Curitiba Committee for the City of Design and formulating a cultural and economic bill. One of the most noteworthy projects is Vale do Pinhão, proposed by the Curitiba Development Agency. It aims to ensure the vitality of Curitiba's innovation ecosystem through supporting urban renewal, education and entrepreneurship, technological development, and other aspects, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of the city.

In addition, Curitiba has implemented various initiatives to promote design development. Such as the Lighthouse of Knowledge and Innovation and the Design for a Better World project. These projects are all centered around the people, making Curitiba one of the most livable cities in Brazil.

此外，库里提巴还实施了各种举措来推动设计发展。如知识与“创新的灯塔”、“为更美好的世界而设计”项目。这些项目的核心部以民众为中心，使得库里提巴成为一个巴西最宜居的城市。
