Cebu City, located in the heart of the Philippine Islands, joined UCCN as "City of Design" in 2019. Cebu City has always been the hub of local trade, culture, and creative innovation, especially renowned for furniture, handicrafts, and fashion design. Local designers have successfully combined traditional culture with modern design, becoming a highly anticipated new star on the international design stage. Cebu City hosts various design activities on a regular basis, providing a broader international exchange platform for local designers. Meanwhile, it has gained recognition from the international community with its unique design language, becoming a creative and dynamic city of design.
