Abstract

Budapest is the capital and largest city of Hungary, and one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in Europe. It became the "UCCN City of Design" in 2015. Budapest is famous for its urban landscape and rich cultural life that are a fusion of various architectural styles. Its long history and rich cultural heritage attract tourists from all over the world.

In the process of building itself as a City of Design, Budapest has established institutions like Design Terminal and organized a series of design events, transforming itself into a hub of innovation and entrepreneurship and expanding the influence of design in its economy and society. It also increases public understanding of design and promotes urban exchange and cooperation in the design field through events like Design Week. Additionally, it drives the development of the local design industry and nurtures design talent by establishing various design education programs for the next generation and industry practitioners. These initiatives collectively contribute to Budapest establishing a highly attractive and dynamic urban image.
