Abstract

Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, located on the southern coast of the Apsheron Peninsula on the western shore of the Caspian Sea, is a metropolis that is both vibrant and historic. Its industrial development has a deep background. Since the 1870s, Baku started with oil exploitation and quickly rose to become a world-famous oil base. The development of the oil industry has brought economic prosperity and modernization to Baku, making it an important energy center. However, in the face of fluctuations and changes in the global energy market, Baku has not stopped at the traditional oil economy, but has actively sought to diversify its industries in order to achieve sustainable economic growth.

In recent years, Baku's industrial development has been characterized by diversification and modernization. In the field of architectural design, Baku organizes international architectural exhibitions and building materials exhibitions, attracting the participation of many international manufacturers and architects, and showcasing the latest architectural trends, materials and technologies. This not only promotes the development of the building materials market in Baku and Azerbaijan, but also provides strong support for the upgrading and innovation of the city's construction industry. Meanwhile, in the field of fashion design, Baku is growing into a leader in fashion design. Through platforms such as the Designers' Association and Fashion Week, Baku has cultivated a number of designers with originality and innovation, which has injected new vitality into the flourishing development of the fashion industry. In addition, Baku has also been vigorously developing its tourism industry based on its rich tourism resources, combining modern architecture with historical and cultural landmarks to provide tourists with a unique travel experience. In terms of innovation and entrepreneurship, Baku Development Center serves as an important innovation platform, supporting the growth of startups and SMEs by providing a series of services and activities, building a solid foundation for the innovation and entrepreneurship ecology in Baku.

Baku's industrial development history is a vivid portrayal of the transformation from a traditional oil economy to a diversified and modernized economy. In the future, Baku will continue to deepen industrial restructuring, strengthen cooperation and exchanges with the international market, and promote the synergistic development of the fields of architecture, fashion, tourism and innovation and entrepreneurship.
