Planting Design with the Local and the Globe
Abstract
In this era of accelerated globalization, design has transcended
its pure aesthetic expression, and become a crucial component of Tokyo's
internationalization strategy. Tokyo's development has established a
solid foundation based on the historical evolution of Japanese creative
design. As the political, economic, and cultural hub of Japan, Tokyo
naturally congregates abundant design resources, deeply rooted in an
international perspective. Furthermore, the Design Week has emerged as
a core leverage for Tokyo to stride onto the international stage, serving
as a showcase for its design prowess and charm, actively leading global
design trends.
It's worth noting that, in the process of internationalization,
Tokyo ingeniously integrates cross-cultural elements into its design,
creating a unique design language. This distinctive design language not
only highlights Tokyo's profound cultural heritage and economic strength,
but also demonstrates its immense potential for development, attracting
global attention and cooperation opportunities, further driving urban growth.
