Abstract
Bandung is a city rich in creativity and historical depth in Indonesia, known
for its unique location and diverse cultural atmosphere. It was named the "City
of Design" by UCCN in 2015.
In the process of city development, Bandung proposes "People, Place,
Ideas" and "ABCG+3C" as its city development philosophy and methodology.
Bandung promotes community engagement, stimulates citizen creativity
and social innovation through various initiatives and measures, creating
vibrant urban spaces and addressing urban challenges. Among these, the
implementation of the Bandung Creative Economy Act and the formulation
of Creative City Development Strategies provide crucial support for the city's
economic growth and social prosperity.
Bandung continues to inspire citizens' creative thinking and social
innovation through events such as DesignAction.bdg and the Bandung Design
Biennale, promoting sustainable economic and social development. These
initiatives not only enhance the living quality and city image for Bandung's
citizens, but also provide valuable experiences and references for other cities.
